Menu Option: Catalogue/Folder Compare.

Description: Lists the contents of the selected Master Folder with individual itemised comparison to the contents of Compare Folder, if identified.

Priory Toolbox Folder Content

Master Folder: Mouse click on the displayed text to "select" a folder that exists on your device. After selection the listed content is populated with the names of sub-folders and files that are stored in the elected folder.

Compare Folder: Mouse click on the displayed text to "select" a folder that exists on your device. After selection the listed content is adjusted to reflect the status of individual sub-folders and files with regard to items in this selected folder.

Note: The button to the right-side of the window enables the user to swap Master Folder and Compare Folder values to "reverse" the focus of the comparison.

Modify Date: Permits listed content to be filtered by dates associated with items in the Master Folder. Right click the "heading" to toggle and change focus between Creation and Modification date. The specified date range is used to restrict listed content when the related Filter Content tickbox is selected.

Filter Content: Confirm the degree of filtering that will be applied to the listed content. The options here include filtering for either modification/creation date range and whether listed items include or exclude sub-folders and/or files.

Filter Extensions CSV: Enter a comma-separated list of file extensions that will be included in the displayed listed content.

Listed Content

Use the keyboard PgUp/PgDn keys to traverse the Master Folder content.

Cat: Displays a visual traffic light that identifies the extent of information that is recorded in the catalogue database for each item.

Sel: This visual element enables the selection of multiple items in the listed content, using a right mouse click to toggle selected status, for which the user wishes to complete a particular "action". After completing selection a left mouse click will display the list of "actions" that the user might undertake for each item.

File/Folder: Displays the item's operating system identifier. To display a pop-up list of "actions" that could be undertaken for an item the user simply needs to execute a right-click of the mouse on this element.

Description: Displays the description recorded in the catalogue database for each item. Selecting this particular cell permits the user to amend the current description and if modified the user will be prompted to confirm whether any alteration should be applied to the global or folder specific database entry that reflects a hierarchy that applies to files. When moving a file that has such a specific description defined the recorded value is retained following that relocation.

I: Displays an icon that reflects the item as either a folder or a file type, defined by the relevant file extension value.

Modify Date: Displays the operating system value for each item based upon the "header" entry for the related element in the upper section of the window.

Size: Displays the operating system size for each item.

RAG: A visual element that is based upon a series of "traffic light" colour codes that reflects a comparison with the Compare Folder item. The relevant images comprise amber, blue, green; and red. The blue visual is displayed when no Compare Folder is defined whilst amber, green and red indicate a minor variation, complete match or missing item, respectively
